close to city hall and chinatown for weekend explorations

I loved being just over a kilometer from the stunning architecture of city hall and the vibrant streets of chinatown where I enjoyed delicious food and unique shops during my stay.

What they got right and wrong

The location is excellent for accessing major venues like the Moscone center. , and the Wi-Fi was decent.

The condition of the place was shocking—leaks, filthy rooms, and a serious safety concern.

Great experience for families

We were greeted by a staff member at midnight which was a relief when traveling with kids and they already had Netflix set up which kept my children entertained. The location was also a major win close to the stadium and we really felt welcomed by the locals who were just nice and polite to us.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive but given the other perks it seemed alright.

Only downside was the shared bathroom, which could use some more TLC, but it didn't spoil my vibe. Definitely try the local diner across the street. their breakfast hits the spot! 😊

Dottie's True Blue Cafe was a tasty find, serving up brunch that hits all the right spots, especially their iconic pancakes! The coffee game is strong too—Pentacle Coffee brews a cup that keeps you buzzing all day long. Plus, the room was surprisingly nice, with comfy beds and two restrooms, which is always a win for a group stay.

Honestly, this place was a nightmare. It was super dirty, and there were leaks everywhere. The beds were gross, and it felt more like a homeless shelter than a hotel. We couldn’t sleep with all the noise at night. Plus, trying to get our money back was a hassle. At least the coffee shop nearby had decent vibes.
